We went to the Dakota County Fair this week. The kids had a great time. Alex wanted to see the horses and the "moos" (as in cows). So he enjoyed that. And he loved the corn dogs, or hot dogs on a stick as he calls them. Lauren had a great time as well - they both thought that the tractors were pretty neat and Alex had to drive ALL of them! Seriously, all 30 of them. Had a nice time though, we are very excited for the state fair later this month!

Alex loves to drive his aunts' cars!!
Here's some pictures of Alex sitting in Aunt Betsy's car. He absolutely loves to sit and drive (imagination drive - not real drive, afterall he doesn't have his license yet, thank goodness) Aunt Betsy and Aunt Kristin's cars - they both have Civics, so maybe he's a Honda guy? :) Anyway - it's one of his favorite things. He even lets Lauren sit in the passenger seat so he can drive her - she thinks it's a riot!

Teddy Bear Park
The kids and I met Nana Vohs at the Teddy Bear Park in Stilwater this week. The kids loved this beautiful park and it was a very nice day! Then we had lunch at a restaurant right on the St. Croix River and we sat on a deck so Alex could see some boats in the water - he LOVED it! The kids and I really had a great time - thanks Nana for the wonderful idea!

Alex and his friend, Caeden
Hi all! For those of you who don't know, Alex has a little friend named, Caeden and they are 2 peas in a pod. They LOVE getting together and loving playing together and lucky for their moms, we also enjoy spending time together!! We usually see Caeden, his mom (Alicia) and his baby brother (Noah) about twice a week. They boys play really well together and they so look forward to seeing each other. We always meet them Monday mornings at the park and one Monday morning, Alex woke up at 5 a.m. and asked if it was time to go to the park with Caeden. I was like, "NO - NOW GO BACK TO BED!!" Alex and Lauren think Caeden's baby brother Noah is pretty neat too - he's 3 months old. Alex will get real close to him and talk real softly to him and rub his belly and Lauren is more curious than anything. After spending a morning with them one time after we got home, Alex told his dad, "Dad, I want another baby!!" And I swear, I didn't even pay him to say that. Good thing Alex and mom are on the same page - now if we can just get dad and Lauren to sign up! :) Here's some pictures of the kids and Caeden - they came over last week to use our kiddie pool on the deck and our waterslide - the kids had a blast!
