Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Hope everyone had a great Easter. We did on this end. Drew and I and the kids spent it at Nana and Grandpa Vohs' house. We had a very nice day. All of Drew's sisters were there. We started the Easter weekend off by coloring Easter eggs - Alex had so much fun doing that. We bought a Easter egg dye kit with stuff in it from the movie, "Cars" (Alex's favorite), so he was very excited about coloring Easter eggs. So excited in fact, that he knocked over the whole cup of orange dye and it landed on Lauren! Her shirt and pants and now orange, but lucky for us, it didn't land on her head. She would have looked entertaining and church the next morning had it done so. Then Alex was excited to see that the Easter Bunny brought presents the next day in exchange for his eggs. He loved his presents, but he was slightly confused why the Easter Bunny brought Lauren a car, but didn't bring Alex a car. He mentioned it several times throughout the day - guess the Easter Bunny dropped the boat on that one! :) Lucky for us, the Easter Bunny also made an appearance at Nana and Grandpa's house and he got 4 cars there - so the Easter Bunny was forgiven! It was a very nice day, but since we got a foot of snow in the 3 days prior, it looked more like Xmas than Easter!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma Carol (otherwise known as "GaGa" by Alex) came and visited this last week. She came on Tuesday to go to the Bon Jovi concert with Kristin and I (yes - we are geeks), but spent a couple of days with the kids as well. We took the kids to the zoo on Wednesday morning before GaGa left for home and Alex loved showing her all the animals. It was a fun visit, but of course - way too short. Alex was excited to see his GaGa, but wondered why Papa couldn't come with her. The next day, he woke up and asked where GaGa was and I told him that she had to go home. He then preceeded to tell me that she had to go home to Papa! Such a smart little boy!

The Kids and their Easter Party

On Saturday, March 15, Drew and I took the kids to an Easter Party. This party was with one of my mom's groups at a local church. There was about 30 kids there so the kids loved it! They had an egg hunt, which Alex totally got into. And we ate pizza there and as Alex put it, he had "cookies, cookies, and more cookies" at the party too. Alex was also able to dye Easter eggs there, which he was excited about. And the Easter Bunny made an appearance. Alex hated him and totally clung to his dad, but Lauren thought the Easter Bunny was pretty cool. After the party, Alex kept saying, "Alex no like Easters bunnies, but Lauren like Easters bunnies. Lauren sat on Easter Bunny's lap." But all in all, the party was a huge success - we really enjoyed watching the kids have so much fun. I've put up a few pictures from the party.....

Home Depot

We have been spending a decent amount of time at Home Depot as of late as Drew and I are hoping to remodel our kitchen this spring/summer. Well needless to say, Alex LOVES Home Depot and every time we go, he has to "drive" all the riding lawn mowers as soon as we get there. These pictures are compliments of Aunt Betsy - our design specialist - on our last visit last weekend. Alex loves it so much that the other day, I drove by a different Home Depot (one he had never been to) and from the backseat, he yelled, "Stop mom! I go to Home Depot!"
