So sorry for the delay in updating this blog. We really haven't done anything that great the last 2 months as we've all been sick - one of us after the other - for a good 6 weeks. We're finally all healthy and can't wait to start doing more stuff again! We've been homebound more than we like - though we are getting creative in the things we do - lots of baking, picnics on the floor, movies, swimming in the bath, art projects, etc. The kids even got Care Bears tattoos on their arms (hence the picture) and they were so sad when I finally made them take them off. Alex was so excited to go to school and show his friend, Caeden. And after much searching, we also found a great preschool to take Alex to next year. You would think it should not be that hard - but it was! We looked at 3 different schools and finally found one that I know that both Mom and Alex will be happy with - it's at a Lutheran Church about 10 minutes away, so I was excited that he will get the Christian teachings as well. Hard to believe that he's heading to school next year without Mom! Time goes way too fast. And Lauren will follow the year after - just crazy. So other than that, our winter has been a blur. My parents were able to visit once and the kids loved hanging out with Gaga and Papa O'Brien. And they've been able to spend the night a couple of nights with Nana and Grandpa Vohs too so that Mom and Dad could get a couple of date nights in, which is always appreciated by both us and the kids! We're ready for spring and hope that everyone is doing well!

The kids love their DAD!
Drew has had some fun times with the kids lately. They just love when he's done working at the end of the day - they get so excited to see him! And when he's traveling for work, they always ask when he'll be home from the "airplane" and love talking to him on the phone. Dad even spent an entire weekend with them while I went to Omaha to have a girls' weekend and to help of my dearest friends find a wedding dress. Dad and the kids had a great weekend - these are some of the pictures that he took as evidence of their fun weekend. And Drew was able to take Alex to a Farmington High School hockey game a week ago - Alex has been asking to go to a Hockey game all winter - and they had a great time. Though I believe Alex thought that the Tiger mascot was the best part of it all. Now Alex is waiting for Dad to take him to learn how to "ice roller skate." That should be interesting.

Sesame Street Live
On Saturday this weekend, Drew and I took the kids to Sesame Street Live at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis. They had an absolute blast! Alex was totally mesmorized the entire 1 1/2 hour show and Lauren did really well considering she's only 19 months old. It helps that she LOVES Sesame Steet and all its characters. The kids were laughing and dancing and saying hi to all the Sesame Street characters - it was really fun to see them having such a great time. It was a fun Saturday!
